MAPPING YOUTH FUTURES: FORMS OF ANTICIPATION AND YOUTH AGENCY
Final conference of the PRIN 2017 project “Mapping youth futures”.
Mapping Youth Futures aims to identify and analyze how young people in Italy today engage with the future and how this informs young people’s current lives, strategies, and multiple transitions. Futurity is understood and analyzed as a complex field of various forms of anticipation (aspirations, hopes, expectations, projects, dreams) connected in multiple configurations. Together with gaining further insight into Italian youth, the project aims to contribute to the theoretical and methodological understanding of futurity. The conference will present the results of the research carried out at national level, coordinated by the University of Cagliari in collaboration with the University of Milan-Bicocca, the University of Calabria and the University Federico II.
